Paintball – November 20

Uncategorized No Comments »

We’re taking the youth to play paintball on November 20. It’ll be great fun for all ages.

Afterward, we’ll talk about spiritual warfare, dealing with temptation,  and the armor of God.

I’m not 100% sure on which paintball park we’ll go to, but paintball packages generally start at around $25 and cover the rental of a gun and some paint. You will also need some lunch money.

You can bring your own paintball gun if you have one, but I believe they all require you to buy field paint.

Please let me know if you’re planning on coming. If we have 10 or more, we can get a church group rate.

Church Next Wednesday!

We’re having church again NEXT Wednesday, 8/25 at 6:30. Be there or be…. um… not part of the group that attends on 8/25.
Bring your official Big Summer Bribe Record sheet. You’ll need it filled out and ready!
Note: we haven’t ordered the prize yet, because we didn’t know if anybody was going to make it or not… so we’ll see next Wednesday.

Camp Day 2

Uncategorized No Comments »

We made it through day 1 with no injuries or breakdowns. We realized we forgot the can opener, so we can’t make hot sauce like we promised. Ben and Jackye are coming, so they’ll save us and we’ll have hot sauce later.

Last night, we had a skit and learned that we need a DTR — or to Define the Relationship with God (Joshua 24:14-15). We challenged the kids this week at camp to Choose whom they will serve.

It rained yesterday and the forecast is for scattered showers today. We’ll see what happens.

We’ve got a lot in store for us today. We’re going to be talking about Holiness through the day today.

We’ll also be playing Ninja Warrior today — and you know how important THAT is.

Grace & Peace,

-Matt
