Summer Fun!

Main Content Inline Small

We've got a great summer planned for your kids this summer. All the details will be on the web site at hebronstudents.org. Check back there regularly for the latest updates. Some things may or may not be rescheduled. I don't like to reschedule things, but sometimes you have to. Here is a brief overview:

Mere Christianity:
We will be going through the book "Mere Christianity" by C. S. Lewis in a 4 part series hosted by the Wartmans. It will be on specified Sunday afternoons after Big Church. If your kid can only go to one thing this summer, this is the one to go to (especially since it is a 4 part series)!

Water Park Trip
We're going to a waterpark some time in June. It is tentatively scheduled for June 19. We don't know which water park we're going to either, so stay tuned!

Camp
We're going to be at Mount Lebanon in Cedar Hill from Sunday, July 25 until Friday, July 30. The cost is $185 and we've already got one fundraiser under our belts. There are only 3 kids signed up right now, so Sign Up ASAP! We're going to do one more fundraiser as well.

We're thinking about doing a "Rent a Youth" fundraiser, where members would rent a youth for various tasks like painting, mowing, weeding a garden, etc for a specified amount of time. They would choose how long they want a youth to help with things and how much they are willing to pay for it. What do you guys think? Let us know!

Summer Bible Study Challenge
We're going to Challenge the Youth this summer to make an intentional effort to grow closer to God by spending 15 minutes each day with Him. For the ones that meet the challenge, we'll have a party and dish out some awesome prizes. I'm basically going to bribe them to spend time with Jesus... Do the ends justify the means? In this case, I think so. If we can get the kids in love with God's word, it will be worth the bribe to get them started.

Socialist Bible Studies

Main Content Inline SmallIf you would like to see the socialist agenda I've been indoctrinating your children with, feel free to check out the Bible Studies page on our web site, hebronstudents.org. I know you're just chomping at the bit to see what they've been learning, so you can supplement it at home.

The socialist thing is a joke, but the Bible studies are not. Please check them out and be Berean -- that is to say -- Search the scriptures daily to grow in Him and to help your sons and daughters do the same.
