Big Summer Bribe!

I need your help. I'm trying to get your kids to have a daily quiet time and I've devised a "bribe" (which is really "wages" or a reward for their work) to try to get them to have a daily quiet time.

I know if they do it for a month or two, they'll love it and hopefully form a habit.

Quiet times or Devotionals are not magic, but they are necessary for growth as a Christian. You can feed the flesh or feed the spirit and you are always feeding one or the other.

So here's the deal. We'll throw a party if they complete 70% of the challenge & if they go over the 85% mark, they get entered into the grand prize drawing.

Official Rules:

1.) Have a 15 minute quiet time (a.k.a. "devotional") each day.
2.) Keep a Journal of some sort to track your progress.
3.) The journal could be as simple as "June 22: Read 2 Timothy 1-3."
4.) If you make it 70% of the goal, you can come to the party.
5.) If you make 85% or more of the goal, you get entered to win the grand prize!
6.) Be honest. This is for your benefit, not ours.

Total Needed for the Party =     50
Total Needed for the Grand Prize =     60

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make sure your kids are involved in this. Getting them to hang out with Jesus every day is one of the most important things they can do to grow in their relationship with Christ.

Camp 2010

Camp is coming SOON!

If you have not signed your kid up, do it NOW.

We're in the middle of our "Rent-A-Youth" fundraiser, so if you want your kid to get any of the money, they have to do the work (and that's all I'm saying about that).

If you ask me, I can show you your balance due.

I have to turn in the final head count to the camp at the beginning of July, so please sign up if you're coming.

The last day to sign up or cancel your kid's registration for camp is July 11.

The due date for the balance of your son or daughter's camp costs is the day we leave for camp: Sunday, July 25.
